Neveah Limited Appoints Akinyemi As New CFO

Neveah Limited (“Neveah” or “the Company”), a leading commodity trading company, has announced the appointment of Mr. Akinsola Akinyemi as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

The Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Neveah Limited, Mr. Ibidapo Lawal, said: “Neveah has evolved from a one-man business to a fully structured company capable of consistently raising funds from the financial markets to meet operational obligations. We have established a solid track record of financial responsibility, resulting in favorable ratings from financial institutions such as Agusto and Data Pro.

“This journey demanded grit, commitment, and a strong sense of accountability. It has been both fulfilling and a great pleasure to lead the firm to this point in its financial trajectory.

“However, I believe that Akinsola’s career path has prepared him for this moment, and he possesses all the qualities required for our new aspirations.”

Mr. Akinyemi stated, “I am delighted to join Neveah Limited as an Executive Director/CFO.

Akinsola Akinyemi currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer and an Executive Director at Neveah Limited. He is an experienced finance professional with over 12 years of practical expertise in treasury management, regulatory reporting, financial accounting, performance management, tax planning, and management within esteemed financial institutions in the Nigerian Financial Services Industry.

He excels in identifying growth opportunities and has contributed to notable business expansions. He boasts a strong track record in enhancing systems and processes. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management and Accounting from Obafemi Awolowo University.

He is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ACA), an Authorized Dealer of the Nigerian Exchange, and an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (ACS).

Prior to joining Neveah, Akinsola held various finance roles, including Group CFO at Cordros Capital Limited, Group Financial Controller at United Capital Plc, Investment One Financial Services Limited, and Meristem Securities Limited.

He also currently provides professional guidance on audit and risk management matters as the chairman of the statutory audit committee for a prominent ICT company.

Under the leadership of its MD/CEO, Mr. Ibidapo Lawal, the firm achieved remarkable financial milestones before this transition. It raised a total of N23,287,446,053.14 from the financial market and repaid N14,544,451,053.14. Over the past five years, Neveah Limited has recorded a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 68% and 176% in revenue and profitability, respectively.

Recently, the firm successfully concluded its series 6-13 Commercial Paper issuances, attracting a diverse group of investors including asset managers, insurance companies, PFAs, trustees, and gaining approval from FMDQ Securities Exchange Limited.

The most recent issuance raised N8.9 billion, with the final issuance achieving 97% subscription. The firm holds great confidence in Mr. Akinsola’s leadership.
