I returned back the basket placing my hands once more on the wheel, “Any more questions? Do you want to see my university degree? Marriage certificate?” I asked. The man shook his head, “No Madam, you can go.” I continued on my way pondering. Well, he was just doing his job but with a lot of annoying and unnecessary questions. Sorry to say, the bad eggs among the good ones has made most of us wary of these inspectors. It’s annoying some days to see commercial drivers picking up passengers where they had no business doing so and causing a hold up at the spot where these same gentlemen are and yet they don’t face them. I witnessed a man trying to dodge these inspectors maneuvering his car so dangerously ‘Fast and Furious style’ and nearly nosediving into the gutter beside the road. That could cause an accident! We should play our part and do the right thing by abiding by the law. These inspectors should also do their best to be incorruptible. It’s a two-way street.
