The director-general of Bello El-rufai campaign council, Auwal Sani Bakori who presented the cheque to the schools noted that it is part of the lawmaker’s efforts to replicate the sponsorship of Islamiya.

He noted that the lawmaker had earlier set up a 12-man committee to help in this intervention. The DG explained that the 12-man committee was set up to do a needs’ assessment on churches that run vacation Bible schools and those that have church based schools where the indigent and less privileged learners are not able to pay up their fees. Rev. Sunday Musa and Nachin Ebenezer who received the cheque on behalf of the churches and schools thanked the lawmaker for his support.

Meanwhile, the chairman of the committee, Rev. Fr. Joshua Achir commended Bello for considering Christians in this intervention. Achir noted that 735 children benefited from the lawmaker’s intervention, saying that most of them are vulnerable children. The beneficiaries includes;

1st ECWA Gwari Avenue, Living Faith Foundation Maiduguri road, ECWA Ungwan Kudu, ECWA Ungwan Rimi, ECWA Gospel Marafa, St. Michael Anglican Church Gabasawa, St. Paul’s Parish Ungwan Rimi, Grace Baptist.
