Many have the resources and power to change lives of upcoming artiste and talents in the entertainment industry, but have refused to, due to their personal motivation, but not for Besong Williams Obi known as Double6ix, the CEO of D6R Entertainment.
Their success can be attributed to their relentless drive and dedication and zeal MD not the usual norms. Besong Williams Obi is one of the few doing exactly this in the entertainment industry.
Born in Nsadop a small village in Boki Local Government Area of Cross River state. He moved to Lagos where he had his early education at Exclusive Primary School in Sabo, Yaba.
He attended Early Years Exclusive Primary school before proceeding to Mayflower where his love of music started.
He was the social director for his school hostel at that stage. Coming out from secondary school, he went straight into learning music production in studios at Agric Ikorodu as he geared to master his craft.
An Alumnus of the Lagos state polytechnic, his love for tourism has taken him across a few African countries where he has gone to meet colleagues in the entertainment industry. The music producer is a lover of nature, a quiet political ideologist who believes so much in Pan Africa.
During his productions days he came across many talents in the city of Ikorodu who later became known super stars in the industry.
In 2017, he made his first move to sign an artiste, but could not due to the financial difficulties involved. But in 2019, he finally started his own label and signed his first artiste, SAUCEE.
A year later, he signed T Dollar who has become a force in the industry.
“Today , my label , D6R Entertainment currently has four artistes who are doing well. They are T Dollar, SAUCEE, LONGTYM, and SOFTI. They inspired me to take the label to a globally recognised world Entertainment outfit,” he concluded.
