Bwari Council To Resume Construction Of Township Road, Others

The chairman Bwari Area Council, Hon. John Gabaya has declared readiness to commence reconstruction of Bwari township road from T-junction to National Defence College (war college camp) roundabout Ushafa phase 1.

He stated this during the tender/bid opening of projects event recently in the council conference hall.

The chairman who was represented by the vice chairman, Hon. Aminu Gummel further listed other projects bided for thus; Supply of one number brand new Toyota Corolla saloon car for the office of the legislative speaker, supply of one number brand new Toyota Hiace bus vehicle, construction of toilets within the council secretariat, reconstruction of asphalt overlay from Dutse Alhaji Koro to dutse-powerline, fencing, landscaping and renovation  of the old abattoir building in Bwari town, construction and asphalt overlay of old Bwari-Zuma road roundabout including construction of concrete drainage line.

Others are; construction and asphalt overlay road from council secretariat gate to Brittonwood hotel and resorts after JAMB staff quarter Bwari including construction of concrete drainage lines and construction and asphalt overlay of Gaba-Shere/kawu road phase II.

Speaking further, the council secretary, Mr Eli Peter Kadanya, said that the bids were advertised in two National Daily Newspapers on 3rd August, 2023 according to the public procurement Act, 2007.

Mr Habila Peter, a representative of the Area Council Service Secretariat, who observed the process, commended the council for a well-planned procedure.
