Southeast Technological University in Carlow, Ireland, will open applications for its Bachelor of Arts in Content Creation and Social Media in November.

Among the courses in the four-year program are celebrity studies, video and audio editing, critical cultural studies, and creative writing.

A University’s lecturer in Media and Communications, Dr Eleanor O’Leary, said there is a growing interest in the area both from potential students and employers.

Dr O’Leary added that graduates of the course will be equipped to either work for themselves as a self-employed influencer or in creating content for organisations.
