Federal Govt To Revamp DICON To Full Capacity

The minister of state for defence, Dr Bello Muhammed, has charged the staff and engineers of the Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria (DICON) to improveĀ  their performance as the federal government plans to revamp the industry to full production capacity in the production of military equipment and hardware.

The minister gave the charge during his maiden visit to DICON facilities in Kaduna State.Ā 

In a statement by the acting director, press and public relations in the ministry, Attari Hope, the minister while addressing staff of the corporation said; ā€œAs the technical personnel of this promising industry, your professionalism and dedication to work is paramount in sustaining the vision and growth of this industry. We will ensure you get adequate funding to achieve this.ā€

In his remarks, the director general of DICON, Maj. Gen. A.E. Edet thanked him for the encouragement and assured him of DICON’s unwavering commitment to its vision and objective which it was set up.
