Ilyasu told newsmen in Ilorin that the anti-graft agency had not extended any invitation to him talk less of grilling him on  alleged financial malfeasance while in office.

He said all the projects executed in the state between 2019 and 2023 when he superintended over the ministry of works were of ‘superb’  quality and met international standards.

He made specific reference to the ongoing Tunde Idiagbon flyover bridge project along the University of Ilorin road, Tanke, Ilorin.

The former commissioner said  recognised projects regulatory agencies   like COREN had adjudged the project to have met the required standard.

He described the speculations about his purported invitation by the EFCC on some of the projects executed under his watch  as propaganda by political rivals.
