From growing up in a little South African village and from a poor background, Thembi Portia Shilenge has turned into a role model across several lines, one of which is a philanthropist, helping people to build their tomorrow as cryptocurrency experts.

Thembi Shilenge is without doubt one of the top figures of cryptocurrency trading in Africa. She has all along been a reference point for young generation, underscoring the value of education as requirement for success.

Thembi Shilenge, who is founder of Crypto Dimensions Academy, studied Chemical Engineering at Tshwane University of Technology and graduated in 2014 with a B.Tech degree.

In 2015, Thembi Shilenge bagged qualification in finance, business and management skills at Sage Pastel Accounting Academy, and afterwards, worked at Anglo Platinum for two years as a chemical engineer. The successful businesswoman took her career to the next level between 2015 and 2017 at Amalungla Minerals, ChromTech Holdings, Department of Public Works, Kroondal Platinum Mine, City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality and SABMiller Plc.

Born 30 years ago in South Africa, Thembi Portia Shilenge, after years of working as an employee, understood that the secret of wealth is not in working for others. In 2017, she ventured into cryptocurrency trading, mining and staking bitcoins with Poloniex Exchange. With dedication focus, creativity and ingenuity, she discovered other digital cryptocurrencies such as ripple, ethereum, monero, dashcoin.

Taking a risk and trading with a margin of $1000 or a little less back then, Thembi Shilenge has turned out to become an international icon and highly revered cryptocurrency figure in financial technology. In 2018, she founded Crypto Dimensions Academy–a platform through which she has raised hundreds of millionaires across the continent–a symbol of her success, global influence and dominance in the industry.

Earlier this year, Thembi Shilenge, who is equally renowned for her charitable gestures, returned to her alma mater in Mmakaunyane, South Africa, where she was born and had her primary and secondary education. The philanthropist donated 50,000 sanitary pads to five schools, as a way of not only supporting education, but to ensure nothing stops the girl-child from accessing education.

“My Crypto dimensions team (Crypto Dimensions is my company name) decided to give back to the community in celebration of Youths Day. We chose my village, Mmakaunyane where I was born and raised, because of the situation there,” Thembi Shilenge said.

“At Mmakaunyane, there are no facilities especially for the girls. We have donated about 50,000 sanitary pads to 5 schools namely, Khubamelo Primary school this is where I began my education, then we did Mmasempane primary school, Mmakaunyane high school, Makgatlha Nong primary school and Dirisanang secondary school.

“We did this charity sanitary campaign with the help of Mmakaunyane mayor Mr Mbekwa. I always believe charity begins at home hence I chose the village where I was born and raised. And I believed it made a difference in a girl’s life, the aim was to restore a girl’s dignity.

“No girl deserve to miss school or class due to lack of sanitary pads. And it helped also to restore back the confidence as we didn’t just donate but we were educating these young girls the importance of education.”
