The community allege that five persons from the village: David Amadi, Iheanyi Amadi and Chikweri Amadi, as well as two tenants in the community, have so far been arrested by the police.

The villagers accused the paramount ruler of the Ogbogoro community, Chief Felix Amadi of being behind the arrests, which they linked to ongoing chieftaincy and land disputes.

Speaking to journalists during a protest by indigenes of Egbelu Mgbaraja village, the paramount ruler of the Umudiocha compound, Maxwell Woke, said those arrested were taken to an unknown destination.

Also, a woman leader in the community, Sarah Orlu, said the men and male youths of the community are now living in danger and cannot sleep with two eyes closed after several arrests by Amadi.
