The North East Development Commission (NEDC) has inspected some intervention projects it provided in Gombe State including a housing estate for low income earners, a trauma centre at the Federal Teaching Hospital, Gombe and students’ hostel at Dadin Kowa Mega School.

The new management and board members of the commission who paid a two-day official visit to Gombe State on Wednesday and Thursday led by its board chairman, Gen. Paul Tarfa and the managing director, Mohammed Goni Alkali, pledged more interventions in critical sectors of development in the state.

While at the palace of the Emir of Gombe, Abubakar Shehu Abubakar,  Gen. Tarfa said the commission would continue to come up with projects to rebuild the region as mandated by the federal government.

He explained that they visited the state governor, Inuwa Yahaya, and the emir to familiarise themselves with them as the newly inaugurated board and management members as well as to seek cooperation and collaboration in the discharge of their duties.

Also during the visit to the emir, the managing director of the commission, Mohammed Goni Alkali, announced a donation of a bus to the palace.
