In line with the ongoing civil service reforms, the federal ministry of agriculture and rural development has commenced full digitalisation of workflow using Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in the work place.

The SOPs is geared towards the establishment of the Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solution with the  mandate to digitise ministries record and automate workflow for  improved information sharing and collaboration across ministries, departments and agencies.

Receiving the ministry’s SOPs developed operational document yesterday, minister of agriculture and rural development, Dr Mohammad Mahmood Abubakar urged staff to embrace the initiative and use it to perform their operational tasks accurately and effectively.

He said, “The adoption of this SOPs will significantly bring about an effective system of service delivery, not only in the ministry, but service wide, I therefore, urge all the respective directors heads of departments and the champions who are the owners of this document to ensure that the full operationalisation of the developed SOPs aligned with the ministry’s mandate and vision and thus leading to the transition of its work processes to meet the demand in an increasingly technologically driven world in accordance with civil service reforms”.
