The Yobe State governor had since inception approved the sum of N100 million for settling the gratuity of retirees every month.

A statement from the office of the  Hon. Commissioner of Finance, Alh. Mohammed Abacha, stated that Governor Buni approved the review to ensure an increase in the payment of gratuity to the beneficiaries every month.

The review would now provide room for a larger coverage of retired public officers and the next of kin of deceased workers to receive their retirement benefits.
