The lawmaker stated this at the opening ceremony of Year 2023 Career Week Programme, organized by the Lagos State Civil Service Commission, with the theme: “Understanding the Public Procurement Flow in the Lagos State Public Service held at Public Service Staff Development Centre, PSSDC. Magodo

He said the theme of the Career Week Programme is apt and timely particularly at this time of declining public financial resources when the need to strengthen state institutions, deepen reform initiatives and ensure value-for-money in procurement practices should occupy the front burner of discussion.

Hon. Ajayi, used the event to restate the commitment of the state legislative arm towards ensuring that the Lagos State Public Service continues to play its leading roles in the comity of Public Services in Nigeria creditably through the oversight role the House of Assembly on Establishments, Training, Pensions and Public Service.

While declaring the event open, the Lagos State Head of Service, Mr. Olabode Agoro described the annual Career Week as a very laudable initiative by the Lagos State Civil Service Commission, considering the positive impact and feedback it has been generating, since its introduction three years ago.
