Natasha, 17 Others Emerge Senate Committees’ Chairmen

Senate President Godswill Akpabio has named the newly sworn-in Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan as the chairperson of the Senate Committee on Local Content and the vice chairperson of the Committee on Steel.

 Akpabio also named 14 other senators as chairmen and vice chairmen of different committees.

They include Steel – Patrick Ndubueze (chairman), Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan (vice-chairman); Tourism – Shuaibu Isa Lau (chairman), Ireti Kingigbe (vice chairman); Inter-Parliamentary Affairs – Jimoh Ibrahim (chairman), State and Local Government Affairs – Binos Yaroe (chairman), Francis Fadahunsi (vice chairman); National Atomic and Nuclear Energy – Sahabi Alhaji Yau (chairman), Mustapha Khalid Ibrahim (vice chairman).

There are also Youth and Community Engagement – Yemi Adaramodu (chairman); Sports Development – Kawu Sumaila (chairman), Ned Nwoko (vice chairman); Niger Delta Affairs –Babajide Ipinsagba as chairman and Rev. Amos Kumai Yohanna as vice chairman.

The Committee on Art, Culture and Creative Economy has Onawo Ogoshi as chairman and Okechukwu Ezea as vice chairman.

Senator Joel Onowakpo is now the vice chairman of the Defence Committee.

The Solid Minerals Development Committee is under the chairmanship of Sampson Ekong just as Osita Ngwu is the vice chairman of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).

Senator Sunday Katung is the vice chairman of the Establishment and Public Services Committee while Victor Umeh is the vice chairman of the Committee on Housing.
