Chairman of the Bauchi State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Reverend Abraham Damina Dimeus, has commended the state governor, Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, for being accommodative and fair to all faiths.
Dimeus spoke at the flag-off of the 2023 Christmas Carol for all churches in Bauchi.
He called on the Christian community to always pray for the state government, adding that Governor Mohammed had been accommodating in all ramifications.
On the theme of this year’s Christmas Carol, which is “Joy of the World,” Dimeus said it was carefully chosen not only to reflect the Joy of salvation but also to address the challenges people are currently facing and the need for joy amid troubles.
Also at the event, Reverend Abasu Gwandu, asked Christians to reflect on why Christmas is being celebrated and not just about the festivities.
