In a gripping UEFA Champions League encounter in Spain, Sevilla succumbed to a shocking defeat against PSV, squandering a two-goal lead in the final 22 minutes despite playing with 10 men.

Meanwhile, Manchester United engaged in a thrilling six-goal spectacle against Galatasaray.

Sergio Ramos, back at his boyhood club after stints with Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain, ignited the scoring midway through the first half, delighting the Estadio Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan faithful by netting his first goal in Sevilla colours since 2005.

The match saw Sevilla dominating initially, with Djibril Sow’s disallowed goal and Youssef En-Nesyri’s close attempt hitting the bar before halftime. En-Nesyri, Sevilla’s top scorer, opened the second half by extending their lead within minutes of the restart.

However, the game took a dramatic turn when Lucas Ocampos received two quick yellow cards, reducing Sevilla to ten men. PSV capitalised swiftly, with Ismael Saibari’s stunning volley reducing the deficit and setting the stage for a tense finale.

Sevilla’s woes compounded as Nemanja Gudelj inadvertently chested the ball into his own net, followed by Ricardo Pepi’s stoppage-time header that sealed a remarkable turnaround for PSV. The result propelled PSV to second place with eight points, trailing Arsenal by only one point, while Sevilla’s disappointing two points from five games eliminated them from contention, sitting three points behind Lens.
