Yobe State Ministry of Health (SMOH), the State Primary Health Care Board (SPHCB), National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA and development partners have concluded arrangements for the commencement of a seven-day follow-up measles mass vaccination exercise across the 17 local government areas of the state from today.
This was disclosed in a statement by the head of Information, Ali Musa Yawale, for the commissioner, Ministry of Home Affairs, Information and Culture, in Damaturu.
He said the seven-day campaign meant for children between the ages of nine and 59 months would be carried out at the designated vaccination sites within communities across the state.
According to him, the exercise will last till next Saturday, December 9, and called on parents, guardians, caregivers and members of the general public to give their maximum support to the trained vaccination officials throughout the seven-day period.
