Governor Yahaya Bello Creates Humanitarian Affairs Ministry

Kogi State governor, Yahaya Bello has announced the creation of the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs in the state.

Bello made the announcement at the flag off of the grant for vulnerable groups, a poverty alleviation programme of the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation yesterday in Lokoja.

He applauded the commitment of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the area of poverty alleviation and other humanitarian activities that is reducing hunger in the country.

The governor added that the humanitarian programme must be to the benefit of both the residents and citizens of Kogi State.

He said, “We need to key in properly into this programme and to be able to key in properly, we must have the ministry and agency that will be relating with the mother agency properly. By the special grace of God, I hereby create the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Kogi State and we shall appoint a commissioner to man the ministry”.
