Cubana Group Chief Bags Doctorate Degree In Leadership

Chief operating officer (COO) of Grand Cubana and Cubana Signature Hotels, a subsidiary of the Cubana Group of Companies, Omoaefe Ejere, has bagged an honorary Doctorate Degree in Corporate Leadership, Marketing and Tourism Management.

The award was bestowed on him by the Institute of Leadership Manpower and Management Development (ILMMD) United Kingdom.

Announcing the new achievement in a social media post, Ejere expressed gratitude to the management of the Institute for finding him worthy to be conferred with the highest honour of Platinum Fellow and Doctor of Philosophy.

He acknowledged the support of his boss, the chairman of Cubana Group, Chief Obinna Iyiegbu, better known as Obi Cubana in attaining the success.

He said, “My amiable boss Sir Obi Iyiegbu (Chairman Cubana Group) whom under his watch I have been chartered in my field and also gained three masters’ degrees from different reputable institutions, and also a proud fellow with seven reputable chartered organizations in Nigeria.”

Ejere also dedicated the honour to his late mother, whom she said stood by him through difficult times.

“I dedicate this honor to my beloved late mum who stood by us through thick and thin, I pray her soul continues to rest in peace.

“To my lovely wife, Anidolly, thank you for your prayers, love and encouragement”, he stated.

Ejere is an award-winning hospitality industry manager and has over 13 years risen through the ranks in Cubana Group.

Often referred to as Abuja hospitality ‘Big Boy’ Ejere, 40 emerged 2022 ‘Hospitality Personality of the Year’ in Leadership Excellence Awards.

He stated further, “My mentor, Prof. Steve Azaiki PhD, God bless you for all you do sir.

“To my team, managers, friends and you who are reading this message, I say thank you, for your prayers, support and goodwill.”
