A member of the House of Representatives, representing Ibaji, Idah, Igalamela/Idolu Federal Constituency of Kogi State, David Idris Zacharias, has facilitated the training of 240 youths and women, on various skills in Kogi State.

The training which was held over the weekend in Kogi State was hosted by the National Institute of Construction Technology And Management in collaboration with ICENT Construction Company Limited with participants drawn from the Reps Constituency.

Zacharias said the choice of empowering over 240 of his constituency members was in fulfillment of his campaign promises to empower young people and women.

According to him “ This empowerment is in fulfillment of some of my campaign promises, to empower our youth and mothers, to alleviate poverty and create a better standard of living for our people.

“Mechanised farming will not only boost their productivity but will help address the current drudgery that has been associated with the Nigerian youth in agriculture. The result of this is that the youths will not only do better in their work but will help boost the food production in Kogi state and subsequently Nigeria.
