Kano State Amputee Football team emerged victorious at the 2nd National Para Athletic Games 2023, defeating Kwara Team 3-0 in the final match held on December 12, 2023. This victory marked a significant redemption for the Kano team after their defeat by Kwara two years ago.

Throughout the tournament, Kano displayed exceptional talent and determination. Crucial goals from Isah Yusuf, Malam Hotoro, and Abba Musa led them to victories against Plateau (5-1), Sokoto (5-1), and Kaduna (4-0). Although facing financial challenges, the team’s resilience and skill ultimately prevailed, culminating in a thrilling 2-1 win over Lagos to secure a spot in the final against Kwara.

In the final match, Kano delivered a dominating performance, showcasing their technical prowess and teamwork. The 3-0 victory over Kwara secured the championship title for Kano, solidifying their position as national champions.
