Adeleke Commissions OSHI Building In Osun

Osun state governor, Ademola Adeleke, in company of his deputy, Prince Kolawole Adewusi has formally commissioned the new Osun Health Insurance Agency (OSHIA)  building in Osogbo.

The event which took place at the New OSHIA building in Abeere, Osogbo was attended by state legislators, monarchs, special advisers, permanent secretaries, commissioners, labour leaders, pensioners among others.

In his speech during the unveiling, Adeleke said he is making frantic efforts to finish all abandoned and unfinished projects that were left over from the previous government.

The Governor noted that his administration is making efforts to create an enabling environment to retain health professionals in the face of brain drain in the health sector.

“All of our health professionals will get the entire amount of their hazard allowance, as allowed by the federal government. Additionally, new health personnel with the appropriate packages will replace the departing ones.

“We made enrollment mandatory for all holders of political office in addition to government officials because we want to reduce or even completely abolish out-of-pocket expenses in hospitals.”

 

 

 

“Additionally, since there is a very low premium and a huge benefit, I want to urge people in the unorganized sector, such as craftspeople, traders, company owners, etc., to enroll in the program. Until we can get universal coverage, the government will keep helping the people of Osun through OHIS” Adeleke emphasised.
