Head pastor of Lighthouse Church, Sola Adesoye, has urged Nigerians to embrace the principle of equilibrium to set the country on the right track.

Speaking during the church’s Carol Night service in Abuja, he said the “principle of equilibrium” in Economics is the law of give and take and when that circle is affected, a problem arises.

He said that Nigeria is a very religious society where the message of Christ is being preached and well received but Nigerians responding to the message is another thing.

“But you see, receiving a message is one thing, I was speaking today on the equilibrium principle, the message puts a responsibility on you to respond. How do you respond? You respond back with your life.

“If you get a right response to this message in Nigeria, Nigeria will be a different society and we will see a new country come out.

“Truly, if we get the right response from Nigerians, Nigeria will be a different society because we respond to ensure that we get the right country where values, fairness, justice, equity are the foundation of it.

“Justice has failed in our country, there is no equity, there is no fairness and that is why there is chaos in the country.

“These are foundations of a great nation but because they are missing in Nigeria, Nigeria’s far from being what is expected of it. Men of good will and conviction and faith should stand up and play their roles and ensure that these pillars are installed in our country,” Adesoye said.

Also, the associate pastor and the director of service of the church, Pastor Gabriel Adoga, said the reason for the season is Jesus Christ and the reason for the sermon as encapsulated through the drama, music and other arts presentations.

He said Jesus Christ stood for righteousness, peace, justice, and love which every Nigerian should emulate.

The cleric lamented that despite being a religious country, responding to the message in the country is a big challenge.

“Our prayer is that the majority and what we call the critical mass of people begin to live the tenet and what Jesus came for, so that our nation or our world can be a better place because without Jesus, there will be chaos,” he said.
