All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Abia State, Ikechi Emenike has said there is no road in the state that is as bad as Ohafia-Arochukwu road.
Emenike stated this when he met with members of APC and stakeholders of Arochukwu local government area in Ututu.
He sympathized with the people over the condition of the road noting that “How come someone can still be talking about the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in this area in particular and the state in general after spending about 90 minutes on the less than 35 kilometers road.
The development economist said the condition of the road has become most embarrassing “now that most third world countries are no longer talking about road as one of their headaches.
“By the grace of God, if I am elected into office next, I will end the age old saying that there is no easy route to Arochukwu by rebuilding the road before the end of next year”.
Emenike stated that the development he would bring to Abia is such that he would not only build Infrastructure, but also build a strong Abia economy to sustain and upgrade them when necessary.
He used the forum to dismiss the misconception in some quarters that he is an arrogant and inaccessible person, saying the information is the handiwork of his detractors and mischief makers.
In his remarks, the candidate for Arochukwu/Ohafia federal constituency, Hon Dan Okeke said the state can’t afford to choose another candidate other than Emenike, adding that his blueprint “is adequately loaded.”
