LEADERSHIP gathered that the gunmen stormed the Wisdom Supermarket in One-man Village near Mararaba around 8:45 pm on Tuesday, firing shots indiscriminately.

Upon gaining entry into the supermarket, the assailants fired at people within the vicinity, resulting in the deaths of four individuals. Reports suggest that the deceased were customers engaged in late evening shopping.

The incident led other shop owners to shut down their shops and flee for safety.

Confirming the killings, the Nasarawa Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Ramhan Nansel, stated that the command received a distress call around 8:45 pm alerting them to the attack.

Nansel said that four armed assailants entered the supermarket, opening fire on the customers.
