2023 AFCON: Yemi Alade To Perform At Opening Ceremony

Nigerian music star Yemi Alade is set to perform at the opening ceremony of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations tomorrow.

Yemi Alade expressed her excitement in a recent post on her official X, conveying her joy at the incredible opportunity. She also underscored the significance of prayer and the power of speaking one’s desires into existence.

Reflecting on her journey, she stated, “Since 2016, I have envisioned performing at the stadium for football ceremonies surrounded by hundreds of dancers and people.

“Seven years later, I’m performing at AFCON. It is indeed an honor and a dream come true. It’s just the beginning.”

Yemi Alade, recognised as one of the best female musicians in the country and on the continent, gained significant acclaim in the music industry after the release of her hit “Johnny” in 2014.
