The forum in a statement signed by its chairman, Dr Oluwatosin Odeyemi and Rambi Ibrahim Ayala that was made available to newsmen in Osogbo on Friday stated that the victory represents a triumph of democracy, rule of law, and due process in Nigeria.

The forum noted that the verdict reaffirms the sanctity of the ballot as the determining factor for democratic legitimacy, adding that the jubilation that erupted in Kano after the judgement gave credence to the massive support the governor enjoys in Kano State.

The NNPP chairmen Forum commended the Supreme Court for living up to the expectations of the people of Kano State and right thinking Nigerians by extension.
The statement read in part: “The Forum is further strengthened to continue to be a critical voice for the enthronement of good governance and solid entity for strengthening NNPP in Nigeria.”
