Newly deployed permanent secretary, Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, Temitope Fashedemi has assumed office with a vow to pursue agricultural policies that will drive the federal government food security agenda.
The appointment follows the recent deployment of permanent secretaries to various ministries by the Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation (HOCSF).
During a brief handover ceremony held at the ministry, Fashedemi pledged his commitment to driving President Bola Ahmed Tinubu‘s renewed hope agenda in the agriculture sector, aiming to achieve food and nutrition security while fostering economic growth.
Highlighting the significance of the agriculture sector, Fashedemi underscored the sector‘s role in food security, job creation, poverty alleviation, and overall economic growth.
The new permanent secretary urged staff members to collaborate and support the ministers in realising the ministry‘s goals, particularly in achieving food sufficiency and contributing to economic advancement.
