Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang has expressed concern over abandoned projects by the previous administration of Simon Lalong.

He said the projects were outlined to improve the living conditions of the people  but were deliberately abandoned, which  amounts to waste of government resources.

The governor who spoke through the  commissioner for housing and urban development, Hon. Joshua Ubandoma Laven  during a tour of abandoned projects and monitoring of compliance by contractors at the weekend said the current administration was committed to improving the living condition of the masses who voted for him and stood by him during his legal battles.

According to him, the state government has approved the mobilisation of contractors to various abandoned project sites in the state to environments within the greater Jos masterplan.

The commissioner who was disturbed by the inability of Rick Rock Construction Company to mobilise to site having received the mobilisation fee gave the company three days to return to site or risk revocation of the 11-year contract.

He said some contracts were awarded seven years ago by past administration but mobilisation fee was not made available to the contractors, allowing the contractors to deploy their money on site for over a year before receiving mobilisation in piecemeals with taxes deducted at source.
