Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, has commissioned a health facility built by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at of Nigeria in Kano.
Alhaji Bayero praised the Ahmadiyya group for their humanitarian services to communities across the state.
He thanked the group for building the facility in Kano and called on members of the community to make the best use of the facility.
The Emir also urged the Kano State government to continue to support the Ahmadiyya group in their effort towards providing community health assistance to the people of the state.
National leader of the group, Alhaji Abdulaziz Alatoye appreciated the Kano Emirate for commissioning the Ahmadiyya Hospital in the ancient city of Kano in the 1960s and now repeating the same in 2024.
He reiterated the ideals of the group that have to do with the promotion of peace through provision of security, healthcare and education and called on the public to embrace peace and shun all forms of violence.
“Islam is a religion of peace and has nothing to do with violence. The Quran says ‘We have not sent you except as a mercy to mankind.’
“This mercy includes projects that will better the lives of humanity, especially security, health and education. Ahmadiyya focusses on these.
“Recently, our global leader addressed world leaders, including the British Parliament and the American Congress, on the prevalence of violence in the world.
“We call for a ceasefire in Gaza where hospitals are being bombed. We condemn violence in whatever form. We also call for an end to banditry and kidnapping in the country” he said.
The health commissioned facility, Ahmadiyya Muslim Clinic, is located at Dotsa community, Zaria Road, Kano and provides all community health services.
