Residents of Enugu have appealed to Enugu State governor, Peter Mbah to stop further demolition at Centenary Estate.

Some of them who spoke on condition of anonymity appealed to the governor to intervene and stop further demolition.

Although some of them commended the government for its intervention in the area allegedly used for kidnapping, they said not all the houses were involved in the evil act.

They urged government to look into the papers of all the owners of properties in the estate and ascertain those who are occupying the areas illegally.

It would be recalled that the police arrested some suspected kidnappers in some parts of the area.
