Former Big Brother Naija reality TV show housemate, Venita Akpofure, has advised people not to get married at a young age.

The divorcee and mother of two advised young people to enjoy their youth before getting “stuck” in marriage during an interview on ‘The Big Friday Show’, hosted by Tacha.

“Don’t marry young. Be young, enjoy your life, when you’re tired, get married,” the stated.

When asked what age is too young to get married, Venita responded that she would object if her daughter wanted to marry below the age of 28.

“Anything below 28, it’s a no because you’re going to change your mind and you don’t know all of who you are at 20 something.

“Don’t get me wrong, there are people who are mature but you need to try different things in life, different experiences to be sure you want to be stuck there cos it’s handcuff,” she said.

Venita further stated that her idea of an ideal marriage is when both spouses live separately.

“We need personal space,” she added.

Speaking about her relationship with fellow Big Brother Naija star, Adekunle, Venita said they were no longer dating.
