As part of measures of enhancing ease of doing business in the state, Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Friday, officially flagged-off the  electronic registration of lands in the state with the launching of a land administration portal, e-GIS.

The Sanwo-Olu, at the flag off ceremony held at the Land Office, Alausa, Ikeja said the portal eliminates all forms of manual registration, reduces physical presence of applicants at Lands Bureau offices, allows residents to register their lands from the comfort of their homes, pay all necessary fees online, obtain their title document and apply for a Certificate of Occupancy, C of O among other registration.

He said, “Of course, land administration is one of those imagined as leaders. This rival tool customizes and streamline business workflow aims for higher productivity, enhances revenue generation to secure our documents and to improve customer service.

‘’The entire customer service experience and we are expecting that this will be delivered at their doorstep. I assume customers are citizens of Lagos and will have a delightful experience each time.

“But I know that going forward all of that service’s turnaround time and in fact that people can see and enjoy this.

“Therefore, it’s critical to highlight that this innovative automated process has transited land transactions digitally, integrating them into our registry and as a result transactions significantly reduce savings cost, meaning that the era of hiding files, or missing files is gone.”

“Everything will be digitally available. Moreover, introduction of this process will foster collaboration among agencies. I think that’s also an important deliverable.

“So, we believe that we begin to see effective information in our various offices. Therefore, the launch of the portal grants our esteemed customer privilege and right to access our services.

“It provides a secure shopping cart experience, self serve options, easy online record and data search and the ability to analyze sites, to analyze sites traffic and to know the trend through traffic, through the tracking of reports at the back end, can actually do an audit of them and know how well an additional customer can enjoy a unique, exceptional service and the opportunity to track application progress, provide comments and receive immediate feedback complaints.

“These commitments underscore dedication to creating an innovative environment for Russians and investors around eliminating bottlenecks that are associated with manual driving.’’
