Palestine Ambassador in Nigeria, Abdullah Mohammed Shawesh, has urged the African Union (AU), the European Union (EU), United Nations (UN) and members of the diplomatic community to take urgent steps to halt ongoing onslaught between the Israeli forces and his nationals.

The envoy made the appeal at a roundtable discussion organised by the Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) in Lagos.

He reiterated the need for a humanitarian ceasefire approach between the Israeli government and the Palestine forces.

Shawesh called for truce and provisional measures to accelerate intervention between the thermal victims in both combatting countries.

The envoy argued that the unprecedented wave of carnage had brought hostages to both countries and reduced Palestine economy to a fragile state of seeking refugee camps, with starvation and complete destruction of humanitarian reliefs in Gaza.

He said approximately 8,000 Palestinian forces had been kept inside the Israeli military camps and several nationals were killed, detained, butchered, starved and denied humanitarian reliefs.

Shawesh added that the Israeli government deprived humanitarian reliefs and distribution of key infrastructure, aids and necessary tools of daily life to Gaza while stating that this had caused a seemingly endless cycle of violence, siege and impoverishment.

The envoy hinted that the Palestinian economy was responsible for over 40 percent of raw materials in the industrial sector and contributing to the upcoming technology revolution in the world.

He said the Israeli military incubation killed several nationals in Palestine and kept their soldiers in jail and concentration camps.
