CIS, St. Savior’s Top Flutterwaves Swimming Meet

Children International School (CIS) and St. Saviour’s School, Ikoyi emerged champions in the Secondary and Primary Schools’ categories at the Flutterwaves Inter-Schools Relay meet held at Ikoyi Club 1938 at the weekend.

CIS topped the senior classification with 40 points leaving  Greenspring on 30 points and Meadowhall on 25 points in second and third places respectively.

To emerge as the top team in the junior section,  St. Saviours amassed 52 points  to beat CIS to second and Meadowhall  to third places with 40 and 32 points  respectively.

A top official of Flutterwaves expressed delight at the high standard of performance of the schools  as well as exceptional organisation of the one-day programme pledging the pay portal outfit’s commitment to the programme.

Secretary-general of Ikoyi Club  1938, Toyin Leo- Olagbaiye said the A-Class family recreational centre will continue to be at the forefront of talent development in sports .

“Ikoyi Club has been and will continue to be at the forefront of talent discovery and nurturing in sports particularly swimming,” Leo-Olabaiye said.

Swimming Section Chairman, Ikedichi Kanu thanked Flutterwaves  and the schools adding there’s nothing like seeing the children competing  to make them a better person in future as sports enhances discipline which would likely reflect in their future lifestyle.
