Confirming the accident, the State Police Command’s spokesperson, Funmi Odunlami, told LEADERSHIP that it was a lone accident.

The PPRO informed further that the crash occurred at a step-down area in Ore, and it involved a Chisco Company luxurious bus marked KSF 93 YG.

“Passengers of the vehicle were rushed to Grace of God Hospital by the Police; four people were confirmed dead and their remains deposited at the hospital mortuary, while 10 were injured and are being treated.

“Information has it that the vehicle left Port Harcourt for Lagos, and on getting to the step-down area of Ore, he lost control and entered a ditch, which led to the accident,” SP Odunlami stated

While sympathising with the families of those who lost their loved ones in the unfortunate accident, the PPRO advised members of the public to check on their loved ones who left for Lagos from Port Harcourt with Chisco Transport on the above-mentioned date.

She, however, advised transport companies to be circumspect about the physical and mental condition of drivers engaged in driving passengers.
