NiDCOM Boss Commends Boxer Igbokwe A.K.A Raph Trouble

The Chairman/CEO Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabire-Erewa has commended Nigerian Diaspora Boxer, Raphael Igbokwe A.K.A Raph Trouble for being an exceptional Nigerian Diaspora.
The NiDCOM Chairman who was very happy to receive the boxer appreciated him for making Nigeria proud.
“You make me proud to be a Nigerian”, she added.

Dabiri-Erewa urged Igbokwe to continue to be a role model to Nigerians, while noting that the country is proud of him.

“We want to work with you to harness the many talents out there and mentor these youths. There is so much we will be doing together.”
Dabiri-Erewa encouraged him to continue to be a good ambassador of the country, narrating that the Commission has established a Diaspora Sports Mentorship Programme to facilitate Diaspora skills transfer in Sports.

Responding, Raphael Igbokwe A.K.A Raph Trouble appreciating the NiDCOM Chairman, expressed his excitement to be back home after 12 years in the United States.

“This is the best time I have had in my life, I am super excited to be back home in Nigeria. I love Nigeria” He added.

Raph Trouble who hails from Anambra state in Nigeria described Nigeria as his home adding that coming home is the best decision he has made and was willing to give back to the Nigerian community in whatever way possible.

“I want to be able to give hope to the hopeless especially children. If there was anything I could ask for when I was a kid is someone like me to be talking to, to look up to or to ask for advice or words of encouragement, I want to be able to do that. So that’s why God blessed me and put me in this position. To just be the eyes of people who want to get more in life.” He said.

The professional middleweight boxer said he appreciated his Nigerian fan-base for their support.

Raphael Igbokwe is a 31 year old Middleweight boxing Champion based in Houston Texas, USA.
He is credited to have 18 wins, 3 losses and 11 knock-outs.
He is proudly Nigerian.
