26-yr-old Woman Remanded In Prison Over Assault On Police Officer In Lagos

The Lagos State Police Command has arraigned one 26-year-old Omorogbe Jennifer Soni for serious assault on a Police officer in Ajah area of Lagos after she was caught on camera in the act on February 21, 2024.

According to the viral video, Soni was seen violently pushing the Policewoman into a stagnant water by the roadside.

Omorogbe was arraigned the following day, February 22, 2024, at the Eti-Osa Magistrate Court, Ajah, and was consequently remanded at the Kirikiri Female Correctional Centre till the next hearing slated for March 27, 2024.

A statement by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP benjamin Hundeyin, on Tuesday, who disclosed this, said the Lagos State Police Command has advised Lagosians to remain law-abiding in their day-to-day activities with all and sundry as anyone found guilty of violating the law would be dealt with in accordance with the law.
