Plateau State Commissioner of Tourism, Culture and Hospitality, Hon. Jamila Tukur Bitrus, has disclosed that the state is ready to host the 2024 E- Tourism Business Conference in Jos, the Plateau State capital.
According to her, in line with the Green Cap Agenda of the present administration with tourism as one of the cardinal programmes, the state is also set to rebrand the tourism sector through youth empowerment structures, cultural identity and reward innovation.
She stated this in Jos in a goodwill message during the E- Tourism press conference organised by Mall of Fame Nigeria. She pointed out that the hosting of this year’s edition in the state is highly commendable considering the position of Plateau as the hub of tourism in Nigeria.
According to her, E- Tourism is the is the use of channels such as websites and smart phone applications in tourism commercial businesses adding that the administration of Barr. Caleb Mutfwang would always encourage E- Tourism innovation to promote the sector .
Earlier in his remarks, the executive producer, Mall of Fame Nigeria, Olugbenga Komolafe, said the conference is with the theme to include sustaining blue economy, resurgence in hospitality and tourism business, sustaining medical tourism subsidy and inclusivity, youth empowerment and participation in sport tourism development and among others.
