She said, “On this auspicious occasion of International Women’s Day, we reaffirm our unwavering commitment to the protection of women’s rights. Every woman deserves to live free from violence, discrimination, and oppression.

“As advocates and champions of women’s rights, we will continue to raise our voices against gender-based violence, advocate for legal reforms, and support survivors in their journey towards healing and justice.”

Jigawa NAWOJ also called for genuine women’s inclusion in the business of governance and access to opportunities for women in all sectors of society. It added that implementing affirmative action policies and providing targeted support to women entrepreneurs, artisans, and small business owners, can create a more inclusive and just society where every woman has the opportunity to thrive and succeed.

“Moreover, we remain steadfast in our commitment to advancing girl child education as a fundamental human right and a powerful tool for social and economic development, access to qualify healthcare services for women and children and capacity-building initiatives.
