The youths would work at the local communities in close synergy with security agencies. Governor Bala Mohammed stated this Friday while signing into law, 12 bills passed by the House of Assembly.

The governor said tackling insecurity demands collaboration and support from well-meaning citizens. He said the youths would be guided by the newly enacted law establishing Bauchi State Vigilantes and Youths Empowerment Agency.

The governor also assented to a law to establish the Bauchi State Security Trust Fund with a view to harnessing resources garnered for the acquisition and deployment of human, financial and material security apparatus in the state.
He said, “To this end, there is the need for officials of the relevant agencies to acquaint themselves with the details of the law.”
