While reiterating his administration’s commitment to the safety of life and property, the governor said the new firefighting vehicles would enhance his administration’s ongoing endeavours to ensure a swift and efficient response to fire emergencies.

In his address, the controller of the Federal Fire Service, Kano Command, Mr. A. Kazeem, underscored the importance of the newly deployed digital fire-fighting trucks in safeguarding lives and properties in the state.

He said some advanced features of the fire-fighting trucks included their 600-litre water capacity and 50-liter foam compound for effective fire suppression.

Kazeem said Kano is one of the selected states out of 20 states to receive the truck; with 200 skilled firefighters deployed to further assist the state government in ensuring the safety and security of its residents.
