CIPPON’s New Leadership Pledges To Innovate Printing Industry

The newly elected president and chairman in council of the Chartered Institute of Professional Printers of Nigeria (CIPPON), Babajide Salako has vowed to elevate the printing industry to new levels of success.
In a joint statement signed by Salako Babajide and the secretary general, Balarabe Abdulsalami, it was announced that Salako secured victory in a historic election held at the Council of Chiefs Chambers, Agodi Secretariat, Ibadan, Oyo State, on Thursday, March 14, 2024. Alongside Salako, a team of 14 other executives assumed leadership roles, marking the beginning of a transformative era for the institute.

The statement emphasised Salako’s extensive experience in the printing industry and his dedication to upholding CIPPON’s core values and objectives. With Act 24 of 2007 entrusting the institute with regulating, controlling, and managing printing affairs in Nigeria, Salako’s presidency holds significant importance in shaping the industry’s future trajectory.

Salako expressed his commitment to building upon the achievements of his predecessor, Malomo Olugbemi, and pledged to utilise the institute’s resources to support its members, especially during challenging times. He advocated for governmental intervention and outlined his vision to revolutionize the printing industry, fostering a collaborative business environment characterized by unity among stakeholders.

Central to Salako’s agenda is the implementation of the Strategic Framework document, aimed at driving industry-wide transformation and ensuring sustainable growth. With a focus on innovation, excellence, and inclusivity, Salako’s leadership aims to elevate CIPPON members and position the institute as a symbol of professionalism and progress in Nigeria’s printing sector.
