The All Progressives Congress (APC) leader in Sokoto State, Senator Aliyu Wamakko and the acting national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ambassador Umar Iliya Damagum, have commiserated with victims of the inferno at the motorcycles and tricycles’ section of the Sokoto Central Market which razed shops and stalls in the early hours of Monday.

The duo in statements issued by their media aides, Bashar Abubakar and Yusuf Dingyadi respectively, expressed delight that no life was lost as a result of the inferno and prayed to Almighty Allah to replenish the colossal losses incurred by the affected traders.

Wamakko described the incident as the will of Allah and called on them to take heart.

The former governor also used the opportunity to pray to Allah, to prevent the recurrence of such disaster.

Also, Damagum called on the government, National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), well-meaning Nigerians and other relief agencies to hasten support for the victims of the fire incident.
