Katsina State governor, Umaru Dikko Radda, has appealed to Muslims to intensify prayers for members of the newly established Community Watch Corps (CWC) to defeat bandits in the front-line local government areas.
The governor made the plea at the disbursement of grains to 2,000 beneficiaries sponsored by the lawmaker representing Katsina Central federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon Danlami Musa at the old Government House, Katsina.
Radda said Allah answers prayers, especially during the month of Ramadan when the Muslims are seriously devoted to seeking him to guide their paths.
He promised to continue with the good work his administration had started to improve their standard of living.
The governor also reiterated his administration’s commitment to provide succour for the less privileged and vulnerable people and the provision of monthly allowances to religious leaders, traditional rulers, and members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.
