The head of the school Abuja, Mr. Joe Daly, in a press statement, expressed commitment to revolutionise education with the grand opening of its state-of-the-art campus in September 2024.
According to him, the school is rooted in the best of British education within a Nigerian context, saying that the academy empowers students with a distinct advantage for success when advancing to the world’s best universities.
“Our mission at Abuja World Academy is to create an exciting, positive, caring, compassionate, and above all safe school environment. Fostering inquiry-based learning and instilling ethical values in students to become innovative and capable global leaders.”
It is managed and operated by the United Kingdom OFSTED accredited The Regent School, Abuja World Academy is similarly focused on offering the highest standard of education in an exciting educational environment dedicated to fostering the holistic development of every learner.
He further said the school will accommodate students from Early Years through to Year 11, with students ranging from 18 months to 17 years old.
“The facilities are set for completion in June 2024 with the commencement of the new academic year in September 2024.”
Two highly experienced British educators will lead the school. Mrs. Dominique Dyer, the Executive Headteacher has had many years of Leadership in schools in the United Kingdom.
She joins us with some years of school leadership experience in Nigeria, as Head of Abuja Preparatory School. Our Head of School is Mr. Joe Daly whose equally extensive headship experience spans from the UK to Southeast Asia.
