Ramadan Feeding: Yobe Commissioner, Residents Laud Buni

Yobe State commissioner for religious and ethical reorientation, Alhaji Yusuf Umar, has commended Governor Mai Mala Buni for providing free Ramadan feeding to the needy and underprivileged in the state.
In an interview with LEADERSHIP Friday in his office in Damaturu, the state capital, some of the beneficiaries said the programme had helped them to feed in 86 centres across the state

The commissioner said the 30-day free Ramadan feeding programme had drastically reduced the current economic hardship being faced among the people.

He said the state government through the exercise distributed cooked food to the needy in the 17 local government areas
Some of the beneficiaries in Fune, Fika, Nangere and Potiskum local government areas said the gesture had enabled them to perform the Ramadan fast with ease and happiness.
