As Muslim faithful around Nigeria commemorate Eid-el-Fitr, the president of the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS),
Dr. Samira Jibir has seized the occasion to advocate for a collective shift in attitudes and behaviors towards fostering peace and harmony for national development.

In her Eid message, Dr. Jibir emphasized the significance of emulating the values of sacrifice exemplified by the Holy Prophet Muhammad, highlighting its potential to steer Nigeria back onto the path of greatness and recovery.

Dr. Jibir underscored the pivotal role of individual households in driving nationwide transformation, expressing optimism that a positive shift in attitudes would yield manifold improvements in economic security and agricultural development, positioning Nigeria to compete more effectively on the global stage.

Moreover, she called upon citizens of all religious affiliations to unite in prayer for peace, while extending moral support to the nation’s security forces engaged in safeguarding the federation. Dr. Jibir urged Muslim faithful to fervently supplicate against the prevailing insecurity plaguing the country, advocating for the cultivation of forgiveness and a spirit of sacrifice.

In her address, she remarked, “As such, we should use this period of worship to pray for our leaders, security agencies, and the nation to prosper. As leaders, we will not be tired of calling on the citizens to continue to pray for our country, therefore, we should sustain more prayers for peace, unity, and prosperity in Nigeria.

“In these difficult times, let us be buoyed by faith and retain the hope that together we can make things better. Let us embrace the lesson of sacrifice and uphold peace and goodwill towards all.”
