Members of the self-determination group were killed during a confrontation with security operatives at the state secretariat while making attempts to seize the state government’s office.

The agitators had invaded the secretariat in army uniforms with the Yoruba Nation insignia while attempting to hoist the flag of the organisation to take over the state House of Assembly.

It would be recalled that some people suspected to be Yoruba nation agitators had stormed the state secretariat which housed the governor’s office, house of assembly, ministries, agencies and some departments.

Three of the agitators were killed when the security operatives attempted to resist their move to take over the seat of government.
